The full schedule of Caribbean Premier League
The 2020 Caribbean Premier League (CPL) is all set to launch on 18 August, with the final scheduled for 10 September. Trinidad & Tobago will play the 33-match tournament with just two stadiums scheduled to host the entire event. The Spain Port -Queen’s Park Oval will host 10 matches while the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba will witness 23 games including the semifinals and final.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, CPL 2020 will take place behind closed doors in a bio-safe climate. The opener of the season will see last year’s runners-up – Guyana Amazon Warriors – face Trinbago Knight Riders. At the same time, the second game will be played between the Barbados Tridents and St Kitts and Nevis defending champions.
This year CPL will be different, but the quality will be higher than ever. CPL has seen the appetite for live sport since it has returned after a prolonged absence, and the interest in CPL will be higher than ever with it being the first franchise T20 tournament to return.
