Six Pakistan cricketers pass latest Covid-19 test and cleared to join England tour

After having been cleared of Covid-19, six Pakistan cricketer players will fly out to England on Friday.

Allrounder Mohammad Hafeez, opening batsman Fakhar Zaman, wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan, legspinner Shadab Khan and fast bowlers Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Hasnain were unable to leave last Sunday with the rest of the squad after initially tested positive for Covid-19.

But now, the six players have 2 negative tests in three days, which were required before they could travel to England.

The Pakistan Cricket Board pointed out that once the six players pass the England and Wales Cricket Board’s Covid-19 tests, they will be allowed to join the team.

Pakistan is scheduled to play 3 Tests and 3 Twenty20s matches with England next month, and most of the squad has already begun training in Worcester.
