Pakistan’s former captain Shahid Afridi tests positive for Coronavirus

On Saturday, Shahid Afridi announced that he’s been tested positive for COVID-19. The Pakistan star said that since Thursday he had been unwell.

Afridi announced this news on his Twitter account, “I’ve been feeling unwell since Thursday; my body had been aching badly. I’ve been tested and unfortunately I’m COVID positive. Need prayers for a speedy recovery.”

Afridi has been on a new mission ever since the outbreak of the pandemic – to help the poor suffering in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Afridi’s routine has been rather hectic for the last few months. Afridi is the founder of the Shahid Afridi Foundation, he has donated food, disinfectant soap, masks and other amenities to the needy in Pakistan. 

It has been known that currently, he is under self-isolation at his home.

Official statistics showed a record of 144,472 total cases and 2,729 deaths.
