Owais Shah believes that Liton wants to concentrate on his 30’s
Liton had been some sort of surprise in the BPL because, unlike in the past, he was very reliable throughout the tournament as he was the highest scorer for champion Rajshahi Royals making 455 runs. Shah played a significant part in his growth by leading him as head coach and, according to the former English cricketer, Liton flourished when he was granted the opportunity to express himself in the center. Shah told the press on Tuesday that Liton was a talented player and he loves working with him. He refers to Liton as a very hardworking batsman and wicket keeper and an absolute superstar for Bangladesh.
Liton Coach, Owais Shah also mentioned that Shah had done his job by getting 20s and 30s and now he wants him to get 70s and 80s for the team. That’s what Shah needed Liton to improve the way he played as he got 20s and 30s he could play a reckless shot. So, that is what he needed him to adjust and become more reliable with the squad, and he wanted him to struggle for obligations, so he was pleased as the game went on to become more and more reliable.
He believes now that he has made the move so he should bat to get the 70s to 80s and get a good score for the team. Shah also mentioned that once an opener gets a big score like that everyone else will only come in and play the shots so they can probably get to almost 200. This was the formula that they had, and Liton followed it perfectly while Shah was very pleased with him.
