A medical team member of the Board of Control for Cricket in India ( BCCI) has tested positive for COVID-19 in the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday. 

A source from the Indian Premier League ( IPL) confirmed to the media that the professional is “asymptomatic” and is kept “isolated” from the rest of the BCCI’s operations team.

The development is bringing the number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the IPL entourage to 14, ahead of the tournament-opener on 19th September. 13 members of the Chennai Super Kings contingent, including 2 players were tested positive for COVID-19 on last week. They are now in compulsory 14 days isolation and will be tested again afterwards.
