IPL 2020: Here is where eight IPL squads are staying in UAE

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 edition will take place in the United Arab Emirates ( UAE) from 19th September 19 until 10th November. This is the second time that the IPL is played in the UAE, after the first 20 games of the 2014 edition took place in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah due to India’s general elections.

Most of the players and support staff of all 8 teams have arrived in the UAE and are undergoing a 7 days mandatory quarantine in the team hotel as per protocol. Each squad member will be tested 3 times during this week – on days 1, 3 and 6. Although the schedule of the tournament has not yet been decided, the 60 games will be played at 3 venues: Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. The 29 players from England and Australia, part of the 8 IPL squads, will participate in a limited-over series from 2nd until 16th of September, and will arrive in the UAE on September 17.
